Colin Cowherd has Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen going in top 3 of the NFL Draft

Former USC QB Sam Darnold and former UCLA QB Josh Rosen are expected to be taken in the first round of the upcoming NFL draft. Rosen just participated at his Pro Day at UCLA, while Darnold is expected to throw in front of NFL scouts on Wednesday at USC’s Pro Day.

The top of the draft got a little more interesting over the weekend when the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets swapped 2018 first round picks, with the Jets moving up to No. 3. The Colts acquired two second-round picks in 2018 and an additional 2019 second-round pick.

In his fourth 2018 NFL mock draft, FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd has Darnold going No. 1 to the Cleveland Browns and the Jets using their newly acquired No. 3 overall pick on Rosen.

In his 1.0 mock draft, Cowherd had Darnold going No. 1 as well, but he had the New York Giants selecting Rosen at No. 2.

Darnold, the former USC star, threw for 4,143 yards, 26 TDs and 13 INTs while completing 63.1 percent of his passes in 2017 all while guiding the Trojans to a Pac-12 title and a Cotton Bowl appearance. Rosen, the former Bruin, threw for 3,756 yards, 26 TDs and 10 INTs in 11 games for UCLA in his junior season.
