Could this year’s College Football Playoff end with Alabama and Clemson playing for the national championship again this season? Colin Cowherd certainly seems to think so.
During “The Herd” On Fox Sports 1 on Monday, Cowherd praised both the Crimson Tide and the Tigers, noting that they are clearly the best teams in the country, by a wide margin.
“Clemson and Alabama have completely separated themselves from the country,” Cowherd said. “You could put Alabama and Clemson into the playoff today.”
Cowherd cited the fact that Alabama hasn’t committed a turnover in its last 34 quarters as proof of its dominance. The Crimson Tide is the only team in the country that hasn’t turned the ball over once this season.
“They’re not even physically distressed when they play teams,” Cowherd said. “Forget just the rest of college football, Alabama doesn’t have a rival in their own conference.”
