College baseball rankings: 8 SEC teams ranked in latest D1Baseball Top 25 (Week 6)

College baseball rankings are a hot topic among SEC teams after the opening weekend of conference play.

The league placed eight teams in the new D1Baseball.com Top 25, which was released on Monday. Perhaps more impressive than more than half of the league being included in the rankings is that six SEC teams are in the Top 10.

Florida, which is the defending national champion, maintained its ranking as the No. 2 team in the country a week after dropping out of the top spot. The Gators took two of three games from South Carolina to open the SEC schedule with a series victory.

Arkansas moved up one spot from No. 5 to No. 4 after sweeping Kentucky to open conference play 3-0. The Wildcats dropped from No. 4 to No. 6 as a result.

Ole Miss moved up three spots from No. 8 to No. 5 after taking two of three from Tennessee for a series win.

Vanderbilt moved up five spots from No. 13 to No. 18 after sweeping Mississippi State. The Bulldogs dropped out of the Top 25 following the 0-3 start to the conference slate.

Auburn continued its speedy climb up the rankings, moving from No. 15 to No. 9 after starting the season with wins in 19 of its first 21 games, including a series win against No. 12 Texas A&M over the weekend.

LSU moved up from No. 20 to No. 19 following a series win against Missouri.

Here’s a look at the complete Top 25 entering Week 6:
