College GameDay crowd waves to Iowa Children’s Hospital patients with Hawkeyes on road

We’ve already learned plenty about the origins of Iowa football’s new tradition of waving to patients at the Iowa Children’s Hospital, but College GameDay took it one step further Saturday.

Even though Iowa is playing a road game at Michigan State this week, Tom Rinaldi and the rest of the College GameDay still made sure the patients Iowa Children’s Hospital got a wave.

“On behalf of every college football fan, from here in Blacksburg to across the country, on behalf of College GameDay, right now, for all of those who are still in that hospital, there’s your wave,” Rinaldi said. “From all of us at College GameDay, all of us who send our support, our strength and our spirit to the real heroes.”

That wave came after a touching video feature about the Kinnick Wave.
