David Sills ranks in the top 5 of wide receivers in the Big 12 when targeted, per PFF

David Sills leads the nation in receiving touchdowns, so we already know he’s one of the top wide receivers in the nation.

According to Pro Football Focus, he’s one of the top when he’s simply targeted.

Joining Sills on the list is Armanti Foreman of Texas, Marcell Ateman and James Washington of Oklahoma State, and Dylan Cantrell and Keke Coutee of Texas Tech.

Sills has 25 catches on the year, and according to PFF, has been targeted 39 times, according to the list.

The West Virginia starting offense hasn’t had to go full-throttle for the past three games, but they’ll need to put the pedal to the metal on Saturday. They’re squaring off against one of the best defenses in college football, led by one of college football’s premiere defensive minds.

If David Sills and quarterback Will Grier can get on top of TCU early, the Mountaineers will be fine. It’s all in how the Mountaineers start, and if they can start quickly, they’ll have a chance to win this game.
