Dean Wade could return to action for Kansas State on Thursday, but he won’t be on the court for tip-off.
According CBS Sports’ Chip Patterson, Wade is not in the starting lineup for the Wildcats’ Sweet Sixteen contest in Atlanta, Ga. Wade, who is battling a foot injury that he re-aggravated, has yet to appear for Kansas State in the NCAA Tournament.

Though it’s clear that he won’t be a starter vs. Kentucky, Wade said earlier in the week that he “feels good” and was 98 percent sure that he’d play at some point in the contest on Thursday.
Wade is Kansas State’s leading scorer at 16.5 points per game. The junior last appeared in the team’s overtime win against TCU in the Big 12 Championship Tournament on March 8.
