The Kansas Jayhawks and the Kansas State Wildcats may be in-state rivals, but in the NCAA Tournament some things inevitably change.
Devonte’ Graham says that he’ll “probably” pull for K-State in the Sweet 16, according to ESPN writer Mitch Sherman.
“I’m definitely going to watch the game,” said Graham. “Probably root for them…It’s kind of like a brotherhood at the end of the day.”
The Jayhawks beat the Wildcats three times during the 2017-2018 season, twice during Big 12 Conference play and once in the Big 12 Tournament.
Kansas and Kansas State are two of four Big 12 teams remaining in the Sweet 16. Texas Tech will take on Purdue and West Virginia will square off against Villanova.
The Jayhawks will square off against the Clemson Tigers on Friday, March 23. Kansas State takes on the Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday, March 22.
