Duke is looking to rebound from a disheartening loss to North Carolina on Thursday against Georgia Tech on Sunday night, but it appears they’ll do so without superstar freshman Marvin Bagley III.
According to a report from Jonathan M. Alexander of the News & Observer, the Blue Devils have ruled Bagley out for the 5 p.m. ET tip against the Yellow Jackets. Duke later announced that Bagley suffered a knee sprain in the loss to the Tar Heels.
Bagley played 39 of a possible 40 minutes in the 82-78 defeat and grabbed 15 points and 16 rebounds against North Carolina. However, against a lesser opponent and with a game on Wednesday against Virginia Tech, they thought it best to rest Bagley on Sunday.
