ESPN analyst picks Duke to advance to 2018 NCAA Final Four

Duke heads into its NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 matchup with Syracuse as the odds-on favorite to take home yet another National Championship.

The Blue Devils are ranked No. 1 in Bleacher Report’s power rankings ahead of the Sweet 16 showdown with the Orange and Duke seems to be rolling along with its impressive zone defense.

With that in mind, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello is picking Duke to land in the 2018 Final Four, alongside Kentucky, Michigan and Villanova.

Here’s a small blurb on Duke from his overall piece:

“Villanova and Duke have looked better than advertised through one weekend.”

If No. 2 Duke is able to slip past upset-minded Syracuse Friday night, the Blue Devils would then have an Elite Eight showdown with the winner of No. 1 Kansas-No. 5 Clemson.

That bodes well for Duke, with the Blue Devils not allowing an opponent to shoot above 37 percent from 3-point land since making the switch to zone, per the report.

For now, Duke’s attention is squarely on Syracuse with hopes of landing in San Antonio for a Final Four showdown in its future.
