There are four SEC teams ranked in the top 25 of the AP Poll, with the teams being No. 1 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 12 Auburn and No. 21 Florida.
And ESPN has identified the most important game remaining for each of the teams in the top 25, including the four above.
For Alabama, ESPN said the most important remaining game for the Crimson Tide is Auburn, set for Nov. 25. For Auburn, it’s the Tigers Nov. 11 home game against Georgia. For the Bulldogs, it’s their Oct. 25 meeting with the Florida Gators in Jacksonville. And for those Gators, ESPN said that their game this weekend against LSU was the most important one left on their schedule.
The four above mentioned team do have other important games on the schedule, Georgia visits Georgia Tech at the end of the year and Florida hosts Florida State, but ESPN does make a compelling case for each game.
Alabama visits Texas A&M this weekend, while Auburn hosts Ole Miss. Georgia travels to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt and Florida hosts LSU at 3:30 pm on CBS.
