ESPN pokes fun at LSU with Bottom 10 ranking

LSU has it rough these days.

The Tigers dropped to 3-2 with a bad loss to Troy last Saturday at Tiger Stadium. Critics are cackling about coach Ed Orgeron and athletic director Joe Alleva. Overall, the situation looks dark.

Even ESPN’s satirical Bottom 10 rankings had some fun at LSU’s expense. On Tuesday, Ryan McGee included the Tigers in the rankings, placing LSU at No. 5, behind Charlotte, Massachusetts, UTEP and Baylor.

Here’s more from the column:

5. LS…ooh

The SEC continues to grip the Coveted Fifth Spot like Mike the Tiger with his claws in a side of beef. The Tigers not only lost to Troy, they were never really in the game in the second half. After the game head coach Ed Orgeron said, “Well, weah gunnado whaddawecan tuh tuhrn dis hoeting uhrownd. Etz canduhlike ya momma win sheez tryunta saveapottabadgumbo.” So, first Troy took the Tigers’ money. Then the Trojans ran up the score on them after the game was over.

Orgeron and the Tigers could use a decisive victory in a hurry, right?

We’ll see if LSU can recover after its rough start. Things don’t get easier with a trip to Florida on Saturday. Then the week after, LSU hosts Auburn in what will be a tough SEC West matchup for Orgeron’s team.

However it happens, LSU must change the narrative about its direction fast.
