As the Huskers gear up to face Wisconsin, expectations for a Nebraska football game at Memorial Stadium haven’t been this low in 43 years.
Nebraska is currently a 12-point underdog according to online sportsbook MyBookie, one point up after opening as a 13-point favorite. Either way, that’s the biggest line the Huskers have faced since its game against Oklahoma in 1974, according to Dirk Chatelain of the Omaha World-Herald.
Nebraska has won 20 straight home night games.

It’s not a big surprise that Vegas is low on the Huskers, considering their moribund start to the season. Nebraska has since bounced back with wins over Rutgers and Illinois, but neither of those teams are close to Wisconsin’s caliber.
If you’re looking for reasons why Nebraska can pull off its biggest home upset in more than four decades, the Huskers are still riding a 20-game win streak for night games at home. Either way the game Saturday goes, something unexpected is going to happen.
