Fan Sound Off: Arkansas cruises to win, but fans not all that impressed

Arkansas returned to the win column in Week 5 with a 42-24 win over New Mexico State.

Chase Hayden and Jonathan Nance each scored twice as the Razorbacks improved to 2-2 (0-1 SEC) on the year. Tailback Hayden finished with 48 yards on a pair of short scores, while Nance added 58 yards via the air.

Austin Allen connected on 19 of 26 passes for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns, the other one going to Deon Stewart.

Despite the relatively easy victory, not all Hogs fans see the silver lining on the team’s performance — especially giving up 24 points to the Aggies.

If it’s up to the Razorbacks faithful, a win doesn’t guarantee coach Bret Bielema’s future in Fayetteville.

Check out what Arkansas fans are saying about the performance and  join the conversation here.

Sky Eoff:  Offense is clicking better, defense needs to limit the big plays. Overall, great game!!

TomCyna Turney:  They were playing a high school team.

Cliff Morgan:  Grandma’s football coach Bert.

Rosita Fields:  WOO PIG SOOIE!!! GO HOGS GO!!!

Jason Frymire:  Come on guys! Head hog is gonna take us to a 7-5 season again!

Tommy Gene Green:  Pass defense was horrible. The positive was that our RECEIVERS seem to have taken a step forward, albeit against a bad team. Must win situation next Saturday at Carolina.

Glen Barfield:  About time we got a W!!!

Brad Elrod:   Looked good some & looked bad some. I stuck about where I’ve been all year…

Robert Counts:  Defense has got to get better.

Missy Massey:  When you’re playing a not less than a high school team, you’re more than likely gonna win, I’m thinking it’ll be the last one they win. They are not good enough for LSU, Miss St, and definitely not Alabama. Plain and simple!!!!!!

Stacey Morrison:  Hogs should take a knee on this season…. Long needs to figure a way to pay coach’s buyout and get on a search for a new head Hog.

Perry L. Davis:  Should have played an in-state school. But we might have been beaten so we paid good money to win.

Phillip Tolliver:  Fire Coach Bielema! A half wit high school team could have beat New Mexico State.

Benton Stallings: T hank the lord our losing streak is over.

Dea Shatterly:  They won, but they’re going to get stomped when we enter SEC play.

Stuart Duckworth:  The Hogs defense will get destroyed by SC next week.

William Allen:  Defense allowed to many points.

Mark Anthony Green:  Not impressed.

Stanley Shoemaker:  Good win. Negative fans need to get a life.
