Fans blame USC’s 30-27 loss vs. Washington State on OC Tee Martin

The USC Trojans struggled through injuries and inconsistent play on Friday night as the team lost its first game of the season to Washington State 30-27 in Pullman, Wa. While injuries were certainly part of the reason the Trojans lost, fans seem to think USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin was also to blame for the loss.

In the game, the Trojans seemed to abandon the run from time to time, something that had worked for them for most of the game. On the night, USC rushed for 5.6 yards per carry and scored 3 touchdowns on the ground. Meanwhile, the passing game struggled all night as Sam Darnold only completed 15 of 29 passes for 164 yards.

Trojan fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with Tee Martin and the offensive game plan.

In the postgame press conference, Martin was short with reporters and barely said more than a few words.

The Trojans will look to bounce back next Saturday as they host Oregon State at the Coliseum at 1 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Network.
