The USC Trojans struggled through injuries and inconsistent play on Friday night as the team lost its first game of the season to Washington State 30-27 in Pullman, Wa. While injuries were certainly part of the reason the Trojans lost, fans seem to think USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin was also to blame for the loss.
In the game, the Trojans seemed to abandon the run from time to time, something that had worked for them for most of the game. On the night, USC rushed for 5.6 yards per carry and scored 3 touchdowns on the ground. Meanwhile, the passing game struggled all night as Sam Darnold only completed 15 of 29 passes for 164 yards.
Trojan fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with Tee Martin and the offensive game plan.
USC OC Tee Martin is literally running the offense he ran at Tennessee. Short out, occasional run, throw it deep. Ever heard of a WR post?

Who has best defense in Pac-12? Tee Martin. He is the only guy to make Sam Darnold look below average #USC

If I’m Clay Helton I take play calling from Tee Martin tonight. I’ve seen enough. He doesn’t have a clue. #USC

Like seriously, did Ronald Jones just fucking disappear after the 80+ yards run? Why didn't we keep running the ball Tee Martin? #USC

Tee Martin has all the talent in the world and still manages to be the worst OC in the country smh.

Tee Martin just pressing “X” “Square” or “Triangle” on his controller when it comes to picking plays I swear.

Tee Martin is the worst o coordinator in the country

In the postgame press conference, Martin was short with reporters and barely said more than a few words.
USC OC Tee Martin on his play-calling: "If we don't win, it wasn't good enough."

The Trojans will look to bounce back next Saturday as they host Oregon State at the Coliseum at 1 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Network.
