Florida just got a little more protection coming up front

Tackle Ethan White committed to Florida Friday afternoon on Twitter, opting to stay in-state.

White’s drive to campus won’t be too long with a fairly easy three-hour trip up I-75 from his home in Clearwater where he attends Superior Collegiate Academy.

He’s a 3-star recruit who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 315 pounds, according to 247Sports. The Gators were the only SEC school to offer White, who was also fielding offers from Illinois, Boston College, Duke, Iowa State and Louisville among others, according to 247Sports.

The site also put him as the No. 102 recruit in the state of Florida and No. 714 nationally. White is the second tackle to join the Gators’ 2019 class after Wardrick Wilson committed in July 2017.
