Florida coach Jim McElwain is putting his faith in a true freshman running back in Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt.
Malik Davis, who’s been impressive in each of the Gators’ last two games, will get the start against the Commodores over sophomore Lamical Perine and senior Mark Thompson.
Florida’s depth chart had all three of those backs listed as potential starters for the contest.
