Former Iowa running back LeShun Daniels has a new NFL home for now.
Daniels was signed to the Los Angels Chargers practice squad on Tuesday after spending the preseason with the New England Patriots.

Daniels was not selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, but quickly signed on with the Patriots and played in four preseason games for them, tallying 26 carries for 85 yards and catching four passes for 45 yards.
With the Hawkeyes, Daniels ran for over 1,000 yards in 2016-17, finishing his career with 1,895 yards and 19 touchdowns in 37 games. At 6-foot-0, 225 pounds, Daniels is a bruiser between the tackles but also has deceptive speed. He ran a 4.51 at the Iowa pro day.
He’ll have his work cut out for him with the Chargers though, as the team has star Melvin Gordon as the starter along with Branden Oliver and Austin Ekeler listed behind him on their roster.
