Former Nebraska baseball player Andrew Gudmunson injured in Las Vegas shooting

Andrew Gudmunson, a former Nebraska baseball player, was among those injured Sunday night in Las Vegas when a shooter opened fire at a country music concert.  CNN reports that at least 58 people have been killed and more than 500 people have been injured in the mass shooting.

Gudmunson was named to the Big 12 honor roll in 2005 before he transferred to North Dakota.

North Dakota AD Brian Faison confirmed Gudmunson as among the injured in a tweet on Monday.

“One of our own, former UND baseball and football player Andrew Gudmunson, was among the injured in Las Vegas,” Faison tweeted. “We’re told he is out of surgery, stable and conscious, but more surgery ahead. Please keep Andrew and his family in your thoughts.”
