Former N.C. State quarterback Jalan McClendon makes transfer decision

Former 4-star quarterback Jalan McClendon is transferring from N.C. State to Baylor, according to Yahoo’s Pete Thamel:

After graduating from N.C. State, McClendon opted to transfer out for his final year of eligibility.

Here’s what McClendon said on his decision to transfer, per a release obtained by 247Sports:

“I’ve enjoyed every bit of this university,” said McClendon.  “My teammates and coaches, the fans, the atmosphere, even the food! I appreciate everything that N.C. State has done for me and I wouldn’t take it back for anything.”

After playing behind quarterback Jacoby Brissett for two years, McClendon lost a quarterback battle with Ryan Finley for the starting job.

Last year, McClendon completed 2 of 3 passes for 17 yards. He also rushed the ball 6 times for 67 yards. Over his three years at N.C. State, McClendon completed 26 of 47 passes for 262 yards, 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions.

He also rushed the ball 46 times for 223 yards and two touchdowns.
