Former Tennessee star Albert Haynesworth steamed over Vols’ play: ‘We’re getting crushed by a freshman QB’

Albert Haynesworth is not happy with Tennessee’s play Saturday.

The former Tennessee star used Twitter to say Vols were “getting crushed by a freshman QB” and that the Volunteers shouldn’t have to rely on running back John Kelly to do everything. The freshman quarterback whom Haynesworth is referencing is Jake Fromm, who guided Georgia to a 24-0 lead at halftime.

Check out Haynesworth’s sharp message below.

That’s a zinger, but everything about that message is true.

The Vols were completely outclassed in the first half. Haynesworth, a former defensive lineman who went on to become a two-time Pro Bowl player after entering the NFL as the No. 15 pick in the 2002 NFL Draft, has been critical of Tennessee of late on Twitter. Last week, he said it was time for Tennessee leaders “ to have a come to Jeses meeting” with coach Butch Jones.

We’ll see if Tennessee can turn around things.
