Former Texas Tech QB BJ Symons calls scene during Las Vegas shooting ‘total chaos’

On Sunday night, the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history took place outside of the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas, leaving at least 50 dead and upwards of 400 injured.

According to reports from CNN, gunshots rang out from the 32nd floor onto a nearby country music concert, resulting in a scene that former Texas Tech quarterback BJ Symons, who was waiting in a nearby ballroom, described as “total chaos.”

Several hours later, Symons Tweeted that he was back to his room at the MGM Grand and safe.

The shooter, who was later identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, is dead, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Joseph Lombardo. Paddock reportedly had at least 10 guns inside of his hotel room.
