TCU has definitely benefitted from a move to the Big 12, according to Gary Patterson.
According to Carlos Mendez of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Patterson said, “As a university and as a city, coming into the Big 12 totally changed the whole outlook of everything that’s happened here in Fort Worth and TCU.”
The TCU Horned Frogs are undefeated, a top 10 team, and are hosting ESPN’s College Gameday this weekend. After some time to adjust to the level of competition and ramp up their recruiting, TCU has more than proved that at the very least, they can compete for championships in conference play on a consistent basis.
The Horned Frogs are on the brink of potentially breaking into the College Football Playoff conversation. They’re firmly in the conference race, but if they keep on stacking big wins on top of big wins there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be talking with them as one of the premiere programs in the nation.
