Isaac Haas ruled out against Texas Tech in Sweet 16

Purdue center Isaac Haas will not play against Texas Tech, according to Jon Rothstein.

The declaration comes just hours after a ruling from the NCAA stating that Haas could wear a brace on his elbow.

Haas was not expected to play against Texas Tech due to his broken elbow, but attempted to practice anyways.

Haas averaged 14.9 points per game for the 3 seed Boilermakers, who will replace him with another 7 foot plus player — freshman Matt Haarms.

The Red Raiders dealt with injuries to star Keenan Evans’s toe late in the regular season, but will be at full strength for the Sweet 16 bout with the Boilermakers.
