Jevon Carter doesn’t lack confidence heading into West Virginia’s Sweet 16 bout with Villanova.
The senior thinks that the combination of himself and Daxter Miles are the “best backcourt in the nation,” according to Allan Taylor of WVMetroNews.com.
Jevon Carter: "Me and Dax, we feel like we never got the credit we deserved. We feel like we're the best backcourt in the nation. But I guess don't nobody else besides us see us that way." #WVU

Carter has reasons to be confident about the Mountaineers. They’ve been clicking on all cylinders so far in the NCAA Tournament, pummeling Murray State in the opening round, 85-68, and throttling Marshall in the second round, 94-71.
Carter might be the nation’s premiere perimeter defender, and he’s been amazing on offense in the tournament as well. He’s averaging 24.5 points, 6.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.5 steals per game in tournament play.
On the season, Miles averages 12.8 points per game, 2.8 rebounds per game, and 3.1 assists per game. If the pair can get going against Villanova, there’s no question that the Mountaineers will be in a very good spot against the region’s No. 1 seed.
