Junior college All-America running back Greg Bell announced on Twitter that while the Cardinals remain among his list of schools, he is no longer committed to play for Louisville.
“After talking with my family, at this moment in my recruitment, I have decided to de-commit from the University of Louisville and weigh out my options. This has nothing to do with Louisville. They are still one of my top schools.”
— Greg Bell (@GregBell_) October 1, 2017
Bell is the No. 3 junior-college running back in the 2018 recruiting class according to 247Sports. He would have been a very strong addition to a Louisville backfield that isn’t exactly filled with options this season. Plus, Reggie Bonnafon and Malik Williams are both expected to leave in graduation.
At Arizona Western College, Bell led the team with 1,187 rushing yards last year. This season, he has 448 rushing yards on just 50 carries, giving him an average of nearly 9.0 yards per rush. Bell has also scored 5 touchdowns.
