LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky receiver Charles Walker was the victim of a targeting call in the first half against Eastern Michigan, and he will not return.
The UK Sports Network reported he was taken to the locker room with a back injury.
Walker also serves as Kentucky’s primary punt returner. Freshman wide receiver Lynn Bowden will return punts in his absence.
Walker had 1 catch for 12 yards before his injury.
Kentucky and Eastern Michigan were tied 14-14 at halftime.
