Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury had some strong praise for the Oklahoma State defense after the Cowboys’ big win.
According to John Helsley of The Oklahoman, Kingsbury said, “They pretty much dominated the game up front. We had to kick a couple of field goals inside the 3. We couldn’t move them. So you’ve got to give them credit.”
Oklahoma State didn’t play perfectly at all, but still came away with a win against Texas Tech, and at this point, that’s all that matters for the Cowboys.
They’ll have a bye week now, time to rest up and maybe get some of their offensive linemen back from injury. Texas Tech was able to get a solid pass rush on the Cowboys, mostly due to the depleted line.
The special teams needs a little work in the field goal department, but still got a punt block. Mason Rudolph was outstanding, as per usual. The senior tallied five total touchdowns and over 400 yards of offense, including the game winning touchdown rush with mere minutes left in the 4th quarter.
Oklahoma State will face off against the Baylor Bears after their bye, and should be able to get an easy win against a injury depleted Baylor squad.
