Lane Kiffin loves Jalen Hurts for the Heisman Trophy.
The former Alabama offensive coordinator, now Florida Atlantic’s coach, used Twitter to give a little Heisman love for the Alabama quarterback. On Monday, Kiffin said he cast his “Heisman ballot” for Hurts in an online poll.

It’s not shocking to see Kiffin do this, given his history with Hurts and Alabama, where he worked as the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator from 2014 to 2016. Still, it’s a pretty cool move by Kiffin to make his support known in a public way.
Hurts has been stellar for Alabama this season, completing 57 of 89 passes for 747 yards with 6 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. His composure in the pocket has been impressive as the Crimson Tide rocked Vanderbilt and Ole Miss in consecutive weeks.
Alabama is 5-0, and as long as Hurts continues his solid play, the quarterback will gain more Heisman Trophy buzz in the months ahead.
