Las Vegas still sees Alabama as an overwhelming national title favorite

Despite their overwhelming wins against Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, Alabama has seen its lead in the AP Poll slip as Clemson has gained some ground.

But the folks in Las Vegas still see the Crimson Tide as an overwhelming national title favorite. Per the Las Vegas Super Book, Alabama is a 6/5 favorite to win the national title.

The team with the next best odds is Clemson at 4/1.

Alabama has won 125-3 in the last two weeks and looks as dominant as ever. It is fairly intersting that while there are three Big Ten and two PAC-12 teams, Alabama is the only SEC team on the list. In the past two weeks, the only team that has maybe looked as good as Alabama is Georgia, who was beaten Tennessee and Mississippi State 72-3. But the Bulldogs don’t even crack the top 8, despite being in the top 5 in the AP Poll. That’s likely due to the fact that they’ll have to play Alabama in the SEC Championship game, should both teams advance.

Alabama looks to continue it’s unbeaten season this coming Saturday when the Crimson Tide travel to Texas to take on the Texas A&M Aggies. Kickoff for the game is set for 7:15 pm ET.
