Live updates: Alabama coach Nick Saban remarks on Ole Miss rout, injuries

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — University of Alabama coach Nick Saban met with reporters following Alabama’s 66-3 rout of Ole Miss at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night.

Here’s some of what he said:

• That was obviously a good win for us. We hadn’t defeated a team like that, or that team, in a long time. We have a lot we can learn from this. Had some miscues, dropped balls. Gave up some big plays. But players responded well. We’re pleased with the outcome.

• Hand will be evaluated in the morning. Probably has an MCL strain. Trevon Diggs has a foot injury.

Alabama’s Trevon Diggs was on crutches and had his right foot in a boot after the Ole Miss game (Christopher Walsh/SEC Country).

• Good team win. We had a lot of respect for the Ole Miss offense.
