Lonzo Ball finishes with 5 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds in NBA preseason debut

In the first glimpse into the Los Angeles Lakers reality that includes Lonzo Ball, the coveted first round draft pick debuted against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA preseason.

Ball finished didn’t score a lot in his game-high 36 minutes, dropping just 5 points. However, he did add 8 assists and 7 boards to his box score.

The NBA tweeted out a highlight tape from Ball’s performance:

Prior to the start of the game, there was a line in the stands formed among fans to meet the controversial LaVar Ball.

Lonzo Ball also debuted the newest iteration of his Big Baller Brand shoes, the Z02 Prime Remix.

Ball was the second pick overall by the Lakers in this year’s draft, and comes with plenty of fanfare after playing for the UCLA Bruins last season.
