LOOK: LSU outfielder Beau Jordan flips off Texas pitcher, gets ejected

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU senior outfielder Beau Jordan is probably going to be hearing from the SEC league office pretty soon.

In the middle of a huge rally in the bottom of the fifth inning, Jordan singled up the middle on a hit-and-run off Texas starter Chase Shugart. On his way to first, Jordan gestured to flip off Shugart, resulting in his immediate ejection.

Jordan’s single came after LSU had come all the way back from a 5-0 deficit to tie the game at 5-5 in the fifth inning. Earlier in the game, Shugart hit Jordan with a pitch on his forearm.

LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri argued the ejection, but he was ultimately overruled. Freshman Nick Webre pinch ran for Jordan and replaced him in left field.
