A promise is a promise!
Mississippi State women’s basketball coach Vic Schaefer held up to his deal with the Greater Triangle Boys & Girls Club, whipping out his checkbook after the Bulldogs victory against Auburn on Thursday night and writing a check for $10,000.
The reason? Mississippi State fans surpassed 110,000 people in attendance this season as Bulldogs games, and that was what Schaefer promised if that goal was achieved.
The Boys & Girls Club got a bigger surprise when given the check after the game, as Schaefer had arranged for a few other people to get involved, raising $36,000 more with the grand total coming to $46,000.
Major props to @CoachVic_MSU who promised the GTR Boys & Girls Club a $10,000 check if home attendance surpassed 110,000. He had some friends chip in and surprise them with a total of $46,000 tonight. #HailState pic.twitter.com/fskRwjGtz7

Kudos to Schaefer for holding up his end and helping raise even more money for the cause.
