LSU baseball: How to watch, stream, listen to, buy tickets for game vs. Texas (February 23, 2018)

LSU baseball hosts the Texas Longhorns at Alex Box Stadium. Follow the article below for information on how to watch, listen to and stream the game.

Two of the most storied programs in the history of college baseball, LSU and Texas meet in Baton Rouge this weekend for the first time since the 2009 College World Series, where LSU defeated Texas for the Tigers’ sixth national championship. Like LSU, Texas has six national championships, tying the two schools for the second most in NCAA history. With 35 appearances, Texas has played in the College World Series more times than any program. LSU ranks seventh on the list with 18 appearances.

History aside, LSU has a lot to improve on heading into this three-game weekend series. The Tigers lost two out of three matchups versus Notre Dame in their season-opening series behind dreadful outings from all three starting pitchers. To combat this, LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri made a slight tweak, moving hard-throwing sophomore right-hander Zack Hess into the Friday role.

Texas will throw junior right-hander Nolan Kingham, who threw 8 shutout innings in his season debut last weekend and ranks as one of the Top 100 prospects in baseball according to Baseball America.
