Gonzaga is a popular pick to beat Florida State in the Sweet 16, but Bulldogs head coach Mark Few has high praise for the Seminoles.
Florida State is riding high after a comeback win over No. 1 Xavier. Few knows the Seminoles are a serious threat.
From the Orlando Sentinel:
“Just watching them tells me more than beating a top seed. Physically, probably easily the most physically imposing and athletically gifted team we’ve faced maybe in the 20 years I’ve been head coach, I would say,” Few said of the Seminoles.
“Just the bodies, the size, the length, and the athleticism is really impressive, and the amount of pressure they can bring, just the size and athleticism and the voracity they go to the offensive glass, and the way they drive downhill, it’s impressive.”
That’s saying a lot, considering Gonzaga reached the National Championship Game in 2017. It will be fascinating to see how the Seminoles and the Bulldogs match up on Thursday.
