Hopefully Mark Richt can serve as a lucky charm as the Miami baseball team looks to snap a two-game losing streak.
The No. 24 Hurricanes announced that the Miami head football coach is throwing out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Friday’s contest against No. 1 Florida at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field that begins a three-game series.

Richt looks like a natural in that photo so we’re expecting a perfect pitch right down the middle this time.
The Miami baseball team is currently 2-2 overall with both wins coming in the first two games of the season against visiting Rutgers.
Meanwhile on the gridiron, Richt guided Miami to a 10-3 record and appearance in the Orange Bowl last season.
The hype for next season is already growing, as the Hurricanes football team is ranked No. 5 by Athlon Sports in their Way-Too-Early College Football team rankings.
