Welcome to the Monday edition of our Oklahoma State DieHards morning roundup, where we take you through the biggest headlines around Oklahoma State athletics.
Mason Rudolph meets with Steelers
Former Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph could be a late first-round steal for the Pittsburgh Steelers. General manager Kevin Colbert and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin seem to be interested. The two met with the former Cowboys star after Oklahoma State’s pro day on Thursday, according to NFL.com.
If Rudolph lands in Pittsburgh, which has the No. 28 pick in the NFL draft, he’ll play home games at a stadium where’s he lit it up before. Rudolph was electric in Oklahoma State’s rout of ACC foe Pittsburgh last season at Heinz Field. He will, of course, go up against much better competition than the Panthers defense he faced. The Steelers wouldn’t be a bad landing spot for Rudolph, who also reportedly met with the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants last week.
Cowgirls cruise to Round of 32
Oklahoma State women’s basketball blasted Syracuse 84-57 to advance in the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The Cowgirls were fueled by a phenomenal day from redshirt freshman Jaden Hobbs, who nailed a program-record 8 3-point shots.
Welcome to the zone, Goldbug! @jadenann23 had one for the books last night for #okstate
