Miami will be without one of its wide receivers for the next couple of games.
The university announced on Friday evening that Dayall Harris would be suspended for three games due to a violation of team rules. The suspension began on Friday evening, meaning that Harris was unavailable for the win over Duke. He will not play in the game at Florida State next Saturday nor against Georgia Tech on October 14.
Miami did not announce which team rules Harris broke to pick up the suspension.
Harris, a junior, has been a lightly used member of the Hurricanes’ receiving corps. He made nine catches for 90 yards last year and has caught two passes for 16 yards and a touchdown thus far in 2017. The Jackson, Mississippi native began his career at Ole Miss in 2014 but ended up leaving the program in 2015.
