The Miami Hurricanes could be playing in Marlins Park if everything falls into place, according to multiples reports.
Meetings were held at Marlins Park in recent days about holding the 2019 Miami-FIU football game there. It’s long been a known candidate in the mix to host that game, and one person involved in the decision said it appears to be the frontrunner site.

It's FIU's choice (to an extent) where to play this second game of a two-game series, but both teams agreed it would be a venue larger than FIU's. https://t.co/pCVSt3LPgP

Marlins Park has previously played home to the Miami Beach Bowl before it was transferred to Texas last year.
Back in November 2016, the two programs agreed to move their scheduled games back to 2019 and 2021.
Miami and FIU has only played twice, with the Hurricanes winning both contests, 35-0 in 2006 and 23-9 in 2007.
