The Michigan Class of 2018 now includes 14 committed players, while there
are four committed to the Class of 2019. There’s a lot of hype surrounding players during the recruiting season when
they go to camps and special events such as Nike’s The Opening.
Where these players really shine is on Friday nights for their high school teams. That’s where they put all those
camp drills to good use. Land of 10 brings you a roundup of how these future Wolverines did last weekend.
Buford rolled to a 45-7 win against Clarke Central, including building a 31-0 halftime lead. Christian Turner scored on
a 13-yard run to make it 24-0, and he wasn’t going to be denied the final 5 yards.
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was in attendance Friday night as Reese and Lee County shut
out Houston County to improve to 7-0. Lee County limited Houston County to 163 total yards offense, and has now allowed just
57 points this season.
Great team tonight 35-0 thanks to my Michigan coaches for coming down tonight
DeSoto improved to 4-0 on the season with a 21-7 win against Cedar Hill on Friday with contributions from the Green twins.
Ge’mon Green had his second interception of the season, stopping a Cedar Hill drive in DeSoto territory in the second
quarter, while German came up with one pass breakup and a fumble recovery.
Joe Milton completed 8 of 17 passes for 117 yards, and rushed for another 50 yards and 1 touchdown in a 42-9 win against
Freedom. Milton also told TheWolverine.com that he is fully committed to Michigan.
