Michigan State Madness set for Oct. 20

Want to see the Michigan State men’s and women’s basketball teams in action before the season?

If so, then head to the Breslin Center for Michigan State Madness. The free event will take place on Friday, Oct. 20, the school announced Wednesday.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. ET for an autograph session, while and the formal festivities start an hour later. Player and coach introductions will kick off the event before each teams holds an intrasquad scrimmage.

With the return of Miles Bridges, the Big Ten freshman of the year last season, Michigan State should be a conferene and national title contender this season. Its full schedule can be found here. On the women’s side, the Spartans lost guard Tori Jankoska — the ninth-overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft — but coach Suzy Merchant isn’t concerned. In fact, after the Spartans’ opening practice, Merchant said she “loves her team.”
