Three-star Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) offensive lineman Jacob Isaia has committed to Michigan State, giving the Spartans their third pledge in three days.

Isaia committed the same day he wrapped up his official visit to campus for the Spartans’ game against Iowa. There he spent time with his grandfather Bob Apisa, a Michigan State legend who was the Spartans’ honorary captain on Saturday.

He joins 3-star running back Elijah Collins and 4-star offensive lineman James Ohonba as the newest members of the Class of 2018.

At 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, Isaia projects to be an interior lineman in Michigan State’s 2018 class. The 18-player class ranks fifth in the Big Ten and 28th nationally in the 247Sports composite rankings.

Isaia joins Ohonba and 3-star Saline (Mich.) senior Dimitri Douglas as the third offensive lineman committed to the class. He ranks as the 16th-best center in the nation.

The Spartans likely will aim to add four more prospects in the 2018 class.
