Mike Boynton pays for 5,000 Oklahoma State T-shirts for fans

Oklahoma State basketball coach Mike Boynton is putting his money where his mouth is in his first year at the helm of the Cowboys.

Ahead of Oklahoma State’s NIT game against Western Kentucky, Boynton had 5,000 T-shirts printed with the motto “Let’s Work” emblazoned on the front.

As it turns out Boynton footed the bill for the whole enterprise.

The Cowboys have put in work thus far in the NIT. After being snubbed from the NCAA Tournament — to the disbelief of both ESPN’s Dick Vitale and Oklahoma State guard Kendall Smith — they’re in the quarterfinals of the NIT and seeking a trip to Madison Square Garden for the semifinal.

When they play the Hilltoppers tonight, the fans won’t be the only people in Gallagher-Iba Arena dressed in style. Oklahoma State will be wearing its script jerseys for good luck.

Oklahoma State and Western Kentucky will tip off at 7 p.m. CT tonight. The game can be seen on ESPN2.
