Welcome to More Cowbell, SEC Country’s daily podcast about Mississippi State sports with host Brandon Walker.
During his weekly press conference, Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen hinted at possible changes coming at the wide receiver position for MSU. Sophomore Jamal Couch and freshman Reggie Todd were mentioned specifically as two players now getting first team reps at practice. Is this just coachspeak, or is there help on the way for MSU’s receiving corps? More Cowbell host Brandon Walker discusses that today.
MSU’s wide receivers have bee disappointing through five games, and help is needed for MSU’s offense to break through against top defenses. Would moving two young players into starting roles help? It couldn’t hurt, according to Walker.
Elsewhere, MSU basketball has started practice, and Walker explains why he’s excited for both men’s and women’s basketball this season.
