Nebraska basketball cruises past Rutgers for 67-55 win

Nebraska basketball cruised to a 67-55 win over Rutgers on Saturday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena. It was the seventh win in eight tries for the Huskers, who are looking more and more like an NCAA Tournament team.

Nebraska improved to 19-8 overall and 10-4 in the Big Ten. Tim Miles’ team has lost just once since Jan. 12 and is 11-3 after starting the season 8-5.

The Huskers got 15 points from James Palmer Jr. and another 11 from Isaac Copeland. Nebraska shot 45.5 percent from the field in the game and opened things up with a 10-0 run early in the second half.

Nebraska has just four regular season games left and will have a good chance to get to the Big Ten Tournament in New York with more than 22 wins. Here are the Huskers final four regular season games:

  • vs. Penn State – Feb. 25
