The North Carolina injury report just keeps getting longer. Add the team’s leading receiver Austin Proehl to the list.
The senior wide receiver didn’t play Saturday against Georgia Tech. Last week, he reportedly had “his left arm in a sling on the sideline” during the game versus Duke. The Associated Press reports he is out for the season.
In four games this season, he posted 16 receptions, 270 receiving yards and a touchdown. Last year, Proehl, who is the son of former NFL wide receiver Ricky Proehl, showed promise, recording 43 catches for 597 yards and 3 scores.
But now it appears he has played his final collegiate game.
