Ohio State will be without DL Dre’Mont Jones and DB Erick Smith for Saturday’s game against Maryland. Jones is missing the game because of a leg injury. Smith won’t play because of undisclosed seasons, though it’s not injury-related.
On Saturday, Ohio State announced Jones injured his leg after practice earlier in the week. Jones, listed at 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, is a redshirt sophomore. He has 7 tackles and 3 tackles for loss this season. Last season, Jones made 52 tackles and started the final 12 games of the season.
Smith has played in 4 games this season, making one start. He has 22 total tackles this season.
In other injury news, LB Chris Worley is probable and RB Antonio Williams is questionable. Worley has 14 total tackles.
Ohio State plays at home against Maryland at 4 p.m. ET Saturday on FOX.
