Young was a late addition to Ohio State’s 2017 recruiting class, following Holtmann from Butler to Ohio State. Young (6-foot-8, 205 pounds) was a 4-star forward and considered the second-best 2017 recruit in Ohio.
Young is one of four freshmen on the Ohio State roster, joined by Musa Jallow, Connor Fulton and Kaleb Wesson. The Buckeyes started practice late last week and open their season on Nov. 10 against Robert Morris. It’s unclear if Young will be back on the court before the season opener.
