Oklahoma State, Western Kentucky meet in NIT

Oklahoma State men’s basketball (21-14) faces Western Kentucky (26-10) in the NIT quarterfinals for a chance to play at Madison Square Garden.

The Cowboys are coming off a 71-65 win over Stanford on Monday, while the Hilltoppers made it to the quarterfinals with a 79-75 upset of top-seeded Southern Cal.

The Oklahoma State-Western Kentucky game is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET Wednesday on ESPN2 in Stillwater, Okla. An Oklahoma State win would mark a single-season program-record 16 home wins, as well as the Cowboys’ 800th win at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Men’s golf earns sixth straight win

Oklahoma State men’s golf picked up its sixth consecutive win on Tuesday. The Cowboys won by 5 shots at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.

Oklahoma State shot a 12-under-par 840 to top the likes of Florida State and Texas A&M, which finished second and third, respectively. Oklahoma State’s Viktor Hovland topped the individual leaderboard after posting a 13-under 200 at the par-71, 7,144-yard layout.

  • Cowgirls senior Vladica Babic won the Big 12 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award, the school announced on Tuesday.
  • Softball faces Tulsa at 6 p.m. ET Wednesday. The game can be heard on KGFY 105.5 FM in Stillwater.
  • Baseball (10-8-1) knocked off Central Arkansas 3-1 on Tuesday. Noah Sifrit earned the win after allowing just 1 hit and no runs in 3 innings pitched.
