Shortly before kickoff of Oregon’s Week 5 tilt with the Cal Bears, it was announced that tight end Jacob Breeland would not be suiting up for the late-night, or Pac-12 After Dark, matchup.
Breeland, a sophomore from Mission Viejo, Calif., has nine catches for 170 yards and a touchdown thus far this season, proving to be a reliable target for quarterback Justin Herbert. Breeland enjoyed his best game in a Week 4 loss to Arizona State, in which he caught four passes for 95 yards.
Either sophomore Ryan Bay or freshman Cam McCormick can be expected to fill in.
